For 25 years, we have been supporting children, young people and families, as well as young people with a history of displacement and migration. Much of what we know today comes from practical experience – in other words, from exactly where life happens: everyday life.
At Evin, we have people from a wide variety of backgrounds. Some have known Berlin since childhood. Others know from personal experience what it’s like to arrive in a new country.
Our team includes social workers, psychologists and educators. We are also joined by experts with additional qualifications in systemic therapy, psychodrama, child and adolescent psychotherapy, mediation and child protection.
We bring together experience, specialist knowledge and diverse perspectives. This is precisely what shapes the way we work. What matters most to us is how we engage with people: attentively. Respectfully. And with the belief that everyone can find their place here.

What particularly moves me at Evin is the sincerity with which responsibility is taken here.
It is not about ‘accompanying’ people in the traditional sense – but about meeting them on equal terms and enabling genuine development together. Without patronising them, without distance, but out of a deep inner conviction.
This attitude shapes our team – just as much as its diversity. In many ways, we are a reflection of the city in which we work. This creates closeness, understanding and trust.
